The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will return to the skies above F.E. Warren Air Pressure Base on July 24, marking their 64th efficiency at Cheyenne Frontier Days.
“We’re understanding all of the plans,” stated CFD Common Chairman Jimmy Dean Siler. “Clearly, the bottom has at all times been a very good host for all this.”
Due to the Sweetgrass growth south of Laramie County Community College — who’d hosted the air present since 1999 — officers needed to find a new location for this 12 months’s efficiency.
Paula Taylor, director of the Warren ICBM and Heritage Museum, says the bottom hasn’t hosted the Thunderbirds since they began Fort D.A. Russell Days 25 years in the past.
