On Jan. 31, the cadets from the Cobb County Composite Squadron, Georgia Wing Civil Air Patrol visited Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta to view the U.S. Air Drive Thunderbirds demonstration staff.
The Thunderbirds had been getting ready for a flyover of Superbowl LIII, hosted at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Whereas on the go to, cadets met with Maj. Jason Markzon, the Thunderbirds’ advance pilot and narrator. Maj. Markzon answered questions from the cadets, ages 12-16, lots of whom wish to function pilots within the Air Drive.
Chartered by Congress, Civil Air Patrol is the longtime all-volunteer U.S. Air Drive auxiliary and a part of the USAF Complete Drive, with items in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.
